HIVEDESK · A PRODUCT CONCEPT FOR ADULT VOLUNTEERS

Community work.
A little help from Claude.

A planned Claude-powered workspace for the notes, enquiries and communications behind a shared community space.

Development has not started. The preview uses prewritten text.

WHERE CLAUDE WOULD FIT

Read the references.
Draft the message.
Keep people in charge.

We plan to use the first-party Claude API to turn approved, non-personal facility information into useful drafts. Volunteers would check source references, missing details and wording before anything is used.

THREE PLANNED CLAUDE WORKFLOWS

Less repeated writing.
Clearer next steps.

The initial concept focuses on routine administration for adult volunteers, with decisions and approvals remaining with the charity.

01 / ENQUIRIES

Prepare a helpful reply

Turn approved information into a draft response, asking for missing details instead of promising availability.

02 / HANDOVERS

Keep open tasks clear

Organise non-personal reference notes into a handover summary with unresolved questions and source IDs.

03 / UPDATES

Make a message readable

Draft a plain-language community update using only confirmed details, ready for an adult to review.

AN ILLUSTRATIVE WORKFLOW

One enquiry.
Three useful drafts.

These examples are invented for the design preview. They do not describe current booking rules or confirmed availability, and they do not call Claude.

DRAFT · HUMAN REVIEWPREWRITTEN EXAMPLE

A reply that asks the right questions.

Thank you for asking about a community recreation session.

Please send the trustees your preferred date and time, approximate group size and the activity you have in mind.

You can contact the team at trustees@wcpf.co.uk. The trustees can advise on current arrangements and any next steps.

Based on sample reference A and public contact reference B.

Before sharing

Check the wording with the trustees. This draft does not confirm a booking, permission or availability.

No uploads, data storage or messages are sent by this preview.

THE PROPOSED BUILD

Small scope.
Useful support.

The proposed stack is TypeScript and Cloudflare Workers, with a server-side first-party Claude API integration. The initial library would contain a small set of approved, non-personal documents.

We would evaluate whether the drafts stay faithful to the references, identify missing information and save repeated writing before a volunteer pilot.

01

Sources visible

Keep document references beside a draft so a volunteer can check the basis for the wording.

02

Review before use

No autonomous booking, publishing or approval. Volunteers and trustees decide what can be used.

03

A bounded first prototype

Exclude children’s records, personal enquiry histories and safeguarding cases from the first scope. Safety inspections and facility decisions remain with responsible people.

THE PLAN, CLEARLY EXPLAINED

A few useful answers.

Is HiveDesk already connected to Claude?

No. HiveDesk is a product concept and development has not started. This website shows fixed examples without making Claude API calls.

Who would use HiveDesk?

Adult volunteers and people authorised by the charity to prepare routine communications. It is not intended as a chatbot for children or a replacement for trustees’ decisions.

Can I book the playing fields through this preview?

No. Contact trustees@wcpf.co.uk for current information. The example does not confirm access, availability or permission to use any facility.

HELP SHAPE THE CONCEPT

What would make
community work easier?
